Acid Reflux and Heartburn

What Leads to acid reflux and heartburn?…..Other organs may be involved, but the stomach is often directly related to acid reflux and heartburn.

The stomach’s main job is to move food and fluid down the digestive track. If the stomach loses it’s function, this may cause acid to flow upward, resulting in pain and discomfort.

In some cases, the stomach produces too much acid for various reasons causing an overflow of acid upward into the esophagus

Treatment…The key to success in treating these problems lies in addressing the underlying issue.

In addition to Acupuncture and/or Chinese Herbal Medicine results can be speeded up by reducing or eliminating the intake or caffeine, dairy, deep-fried foods, sugar, preservatives in food, chemicals in food, raw vegetables, and municipal tap water. (contains chlorine and fluoride).
